Some jurisditions require SMRF and OMF to be designed by using the
latest FEMA (350) publications. Does anyone know if a bill or an
emergency document (after Northridge) out there that requires
(mandatory) that they have to be designed according to FEMA? Can I
just use the 97UBC, chapter 22, Division V for design?	I would
appreciate all practicing engineer or building official or checker to
respond.

Can a jurisdition require it based on their personal individual
requirement?
