Is there anybody familiar with the "Standard Specifications For Structural Supports For Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals" document? Appendix A gives a detailed procedure for analyzing "Span Wire Structures". Are there any limitations for using this procedure e.g. for small deflections or cable sags only? Is Eq. A-14 appropriate for large displacements? Thanks in advance... ******* ****** ******* ******** ******* ******* ******* *** * Read list FAQ at: http://www.seaint.org/list_FAQ.asp * * This email was sent to you via Structural Engineers * Association of Southern California (SEAOSC) server.
